Day 1 - Arrive into Dublin Airport and travel to Mount Juliet Estate, a luxury manor house on a walled estate outside the medieval town of Kilkenny. Today enjoy some sightseeing in Kilkenny, visiting Jerpoint Abbey, Kilkenny Castle, Design Center and Smithwicks for a tour and tasting if time allows.
Overnight - Mount Juliet Estate
Day 2 - Today explore the gorgeous Wicklow area. Start with a stop at the newly renovated Russborough House, a gorgeous Palladian Mansion. Here you can take a guided tour and check out the incredible art collection. Next visit Powerscourt Estate & Gardens, this garden was named number three in the world by National Geographic. Here you can also visit Powerscourt Waterfall, the highest in Ireland. Last before heading back to Marlfield for the evening, stop at Glendalough, an ancient monastic site.
Day 3 - Today you’ll travel to Limerick, where you’ll be checking into No.1 Pery Square, a boutique hotel in the heart of the city. En route stop at Holy Cross Abbey, a restored Cistercian abbey and then visit Rock of Cashel, which was the seat of the High Kings of Munster and an important archeological site. As you continue, stop at Lough Gur Heritage Center to learn about the 6,000 years of history there. Also stop to see the Stone Circle.
Overnight: No1 Pery Square
Day 4 - You’ll be making your way to K Club Resort today, a luxury property on a sprawling 550 acre estate. Tour your way there, driving through Roscrea, one of Ireland’s oldest towns, and if interested stop to see the monastic remains. Continue on to Birr Castle, where you can tour the castle, explore the award-winning gardens and is home to the Great Telescope, which when it was completed in 1845 was the largest telescope in the world. Last, before heading to Kildare, visit Clonmacnoise, an ancient monastic site.
Overnight: K Club
Day 5 - Today start with a visit to Castletown House, the largest Palladian Mansion in Ireland, set on gorgeous parklands. Tour the house, stroll along the river walks, visit the temple and remains of a bath house. Next head to the Irish National Stud, the only stud farm in Ireland that is open to the public and while there also explore the Japanese Gardens. If you still have time, you could venture to Emo Court or Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park. Or simply relax for your last evening in Ireland on the stunning K Club estate.
